Meet Bert Sacco

Bert joined the New Haven O scale club at age 16, started building traction models, and trains have been a part of his life ever since. He switched to HO in the late '60s when he found himself with less space.

Bert, a civil engineer, is the president of a planning/engineering firm he has headed for 40 years. He and his wife Carol have been married for 50 years and have 5 children. He has served as volunteer chairman of the board of the New Haven Chamber of Commerce and headed a building committee for a local hospital.

The Saccos enjoy traveling wherever they can, especially visiting children (including a trip to Africa when son David was in the Peace Corps), puttering in the garden, local theater, and occasional sports events.
