Connecticut Western Railroad

operated by George Reitze

Glastonbury, CT.

The railroad represents a main line from Hartford toward the Hudson River, ending at Canaan.  This line is operated out and back with storage at Canaan. There is a provision for continuous running.

Branch lines run from Hartford to East Granby/Agawam, and to the Connecticut River at Middletown and Cromwell. Track is primarily code 70 and 83 flex track.  A main line round trip is approximately 250 ft. and takes 10 minutes for an express.

Digitrax DCC with several sound units is used. Switch lists are prepared using Albion Software Ship It.

I have been working on this layout for about 20 years, and don't expect it will ever be finished.
